Bern Nightlife

Bern’s nightlife is, rather surprisingly, extremely vibrant with live music performances, dance nights, theatre and opera offering great opportunities to enjoy oneself. It’s a well-known fact that the whole town is always full of posters, agitating the people to go to see a particular performance. Anyway, a complete list of what’s on is found in Agenda, the Thursday supplement of Berner Zeitung newspaper.

For information about particular clubs and music events, if you speak German, you can take a look at the free Bewegungsmelder which is available at the local tourist offices. Moreover, “Bern aktuell” has English listings of major cultural events as well. Tickets are usually available at the Konzertkasse Casino, Herrengasse 25 (Mon 3–6.30pm, Tues–Fri 10am–12.30pm & 3–6.30pm, Sat 10am–12.30pm; 031/311 42 42 Mon–Fri 12.30–3pm only).
